Another Valentine To Bud

Dorothy Bridges

The years flew by and once again
It's time for sentimental verse.
For chocolate cupids wrapped in gold
And words of love I must rehearse.

My Valentine is ready now.
But how to send it! Must I guess
Some unreal place where you have gone.
How can I know that strange address?
The wisp of cloud, that whispering leaf,
The sudden shimmer from a star
All gently speak and subtley hint
Just how you sense me where you are.
I'll stamp this message with a kiss,
And let it drift down memory's stream.
Tonight I know you'll find it there
And I will love you in my dream.
